Vinyasa Flow Yoga is a powerful form of yoga where students fluidly move from one pose to the next while connecting breath to movement. At STUDIO B, we teach vinyasa flow in a heated studio (around 85 degrees) which makes it a vigorous and revitalizing form of physical fitness. This class incorporates strength, flexibility, balance and mobility work in addition to breath and meditation. The purpose is to link the breath, mind and movement in a way that not only improves physical fitness, but also enhances focus and decreases stress. This style of yoga is designed for all levels and can be modified depending on a students needs and abilities.
Mindful Flow is an hour-long practice consisting of basic postures, put together in a conscious, deliberate and secure flow coinciding with the breath. This class is non-heated and is ideal for anyone who enjoys a slower paced yoga class.
Barre is a high intensity, low impact class that combines elements of pilates, ballet, and yoga for a full body workout. Smaller muscle groups are targeted with high repetitions to tone arms, legs, seat, and abs. Throughout the class you will use light hand weights, resistance bands, mini balls, and of course a barre to build lean muscle. Each class is choreographed to an upbeat playlist to carry you through this focused workout. In addition to sculpting the body, you will build flexibility and increase awareness of proper alignment.
This class is an hour long, non-heated vinyasa flow that is donation-based. 100% of proceeds from our Community Class go towards various local causes. We are currently accepting donations for The American Foundation for Children with AIDs (headquartered in Harrisburg). Causes we have supported in the past include the Agape Family Shelter, a part of the Lebanon Rescue Mission, and Lebanon Valley College's student-run Physical Therapy C.U.R.E clinic.
We are excited to be the first and only in the area to offer YOD! Developed by Minnesota Power Yoga, YOD programming is designed to hit every aspect of your physical fitness, while creating mindfulness, and awareness of your body. It incorporates strength, flexibility, balance, speed, power, endurance, agility, coordination. You'll get the flow you love from your favorite yoga class followed by high intensity interval training capped off with a relaxing cool down and savasana.
Yin Yoga targets the deepest tissues of the body -- the connective tissues, ligaments, joints and the deep fascia networks of the body -- rather than the muscles. The postures are held for longer periods of time, allowing these tissues to become longer & stronger . Energetically, Yin Yoga improves the energy flow to the organs which are just as important as the muscles for overall health and wellness.
The Beginner Series is a five-week series that runs periodically throughout the year and is designed for brand new beginners. Each class breaks down various poses, teaching you proper alignment and helpful modifications to suit YOUR body. B3 is an advanced vinyasa flow class designed by STUDIO B founder, Brittany Holtz. This class is set to music in a room heated to 85 degrees. Designed to feed the curiosity, ambition and skill set of our growing yoga community, B3 incorporates inversions, arm balances, deep back-bends and creative flows, but don't let that scare you. While this class gives students the opportunity to explore more advanced asanas, we always encourage you to honor your body and your "edge" by modifying and resting as needed.
