Brittany Holtz is an E-RYT200 and the founder of STUDIO B POWER YOGA. She graduated from Lebanon Valley College in 2010 with a Bachelor's in Political Science and worked for 3 PA Governor's before transitioning to Yoga full time. Growing up she was involved in gymnastics, cheerleading, soccer, and weightlifting. She had often heard about the benefits of yoga, but like so many, assumed it would be "too boring" for her. A friend finally convinced her to give it a try and after one class, she was hooked. Brittany realized immediately that yoga was much more than a good workout, but an empowering tool for change. Yoga helped calm her mind, focus her energy, and empower her to leave a toxic and stressful lifestyle behind. More than anything, yoga taught Brittany to "wake up" and "get intentional" with her life. Now, Brittany's passion is sharing the practice and ancient teachings of yoga with others. She lives in Mt. Joy with her husband, Josh, and two Pit Bull's, Champ and Livy. Brittany also works part-time for the statewide nonprofit, tge Pennsylvania Breast Cancer Coalition. Pat O'connell, e-rty200, ryt500
Pat came to yoga after many years of training and competing in ice dancing. The combination of power and calmness that is central to Vinyasa yoga immediately resonated with him. Over the past several years Pat has felt the benefits of the practice spread into all aspects of his life.
The feeling of being centered is something worth finding at any age. His desire to share the joy that he has experienced with Power Vinyasa yoga has led him into teaching and ultimately owning a studio. Pat is a Certified Baptiste Power Vinyasa Yoga Teacher having completed Teacher Training Level 1, 2, & 3 with Baron Baptiste and recently completed his 500 hour certification at Create Karma in Lancaster. He is currently pursuing another 500 hour program at Kripalu.
His profound experiences with meditation and pranayama (breathing practices) have led him to numerous retreats and workshops to help him deepen his practice. This wisdom is woven into all his teachings. Pat holds a Masters degree in Engineering and was the Director of Technology at a multi-national packaging firm before becoming the owner of Yoga On Chocolate where he is now a full time teacher and mentor.
Throughout this 200-hour course, trainees will learn the fundamental principles of vinyasa yoga and how to teach this popular form of yoga in a responsible, creative and heart-centered way based on the set of sequences designed by Pat and Brittany. Learning to teach the physical postures, however, is just the beginning. Here is breakdown of everything we will cover:
- In the physical realm the focus will be on anatomy, the principles of alignment, how to keep your body safe and healthy, vinyasa pacing, proper sequencing, assisting techniques and an introduction into Ayurveda (the science of healthy living).
- In the energetic/emotional realm we will explore pranayama (breath control), the chakras (energy centers), body awareness, how to read bodies, how to theme a class and speak from your authentic voice.
- In the mental realm we will explore powerful techniques to practice and teach meditation and mindfulness.
- In the deepest spiritual realm we will explore the ancient teachings of yoga philosophy and how to use this information to tap into your purpose and create a vision for carrying out that purpose. We will teach you to take your yoga off of the mat and into every aspect of your life.
There are no prerequisites for the training except for the desire to deepen your practice.

"I loved teacher training. I think the world would be a better place if everyone did it. The deep focus on meditation and inquiry made the training special. Also having a small group was wonderful and made the experience more intimate."
"Teacher Training was life changing. I especially loved meeting all of the other trainees. We shared such a deep connection. Pat and Brittany, different styles yet the same outcome. It was huge having that diversity. Again my toolbox is filled and will soon just be bulging at the seams I'm thrilled to be teaching and using my skill set to improve myself and others. Namaste'
