Welcome to STUDIO B

Our Philosophy

STUDIO B POWER YOGA embraces every body and soul that walks through its doors. Our classes are crafted with care and purpose by our dedicated teachers, who aim to uplift and motivate our students.

We're here to guide you into a realm where your breath becomes your anchor, allowing you to transcend the confines of your mind and fully immerse yourself in the practice. Within our studio, we create a safe haven for you to sweat, flow, dance, shed tears, share laughter, and boldly step into your truest self. So, embrace your authenticity and let your light shine bright. BE YOU.

Our Space

At our studio, we're dedicated to nurturing a safe and inclusive environment where everyone is valued and honored, regardless of their background or level of experience. Our mission is to foster a culture of acceptance, compassion, and support, recognizing diversity as the foundation of our community.

When you step into our studio, you'll be greeted by an ambiance of warmth and vibrancy. Expect to be surrounded by greenery, vibrant colors, soothing incense, and uplifting music. Our main studio wall and center pole, lovingly crafted by one of our talented teachers and our community, hold a special place in our hearts, symbolizing the spirit of collaboration and creativity that defines us.

Look forward to a calendar full of exciting events and lively happy hours on our charming back patio, and anticipate the indulgence of lavender-scented towels after each invigorating class. Our hope is that our studio feels like a true home away from home for you.

Power Flow: Heated to 85-90 degrees, Power Flow is crafted to push your limits and shift your focus from the mind to the body. This dynamic class follows a vinyasa style, seamlessly linking breath to movement, featuring swift sequences, playful transitions, and opportunities for arm balances and inversions. Expect energizing playlists and a profusion of sweat!

Slow Flow: Set to a soothing 75 degrees, Slow Flow mirrors the structure of Power Flow but at a gentler pace. Embrace longer holds and a reduced intensity, while still embracing the challenge and generating warmth. Ideal for beginners, expectant mothers (with medical clearance), or those who prefer a slower tempo and cooler environment.

Restorative: Unheated and designed to soothe, Restorative Yoga guides you through a tranquil sequence of carefully supported poses, using props for enhanced comfort. Each posture is savored with intention and ease, inviting your mind to unwind and find serenity in a state of deep meditation.

ONCE A MONTH:

Stretch + Roll: A 60-minute session solely dedicated to foam rolling and stretching, offering active recovery without the flow component.

Vin to Yin: A 75-minute fusion class, starting with a dynamic vinyasa flow (akin to our traditional Power Flow) and transitioning into a Yin practice for the latter half. Experience deep stretches held for 3-5 minutes with prop assistance, promoting profound relaxation and restoration.

Our Classes

Studio Etiquette

  • When you arrive to the studio, please check in at the front desk, even if you signed up for class online.

  • You may leave your belongings in the cubbies in the lounge area.  Please try to keep your things in one central location, and be mindful of the space others will need.

  • We practice barefoot, so please remove shoes and socks before entering the practice area.

  • Cell phones are discouraged in the practice room.  You may leave your cellphones in the lounge area, but please ensure they are turned off or on silent.  We recommend avoiding cell phone use directly before and after class.

  • Many students use their time in the practice room before and after class to meditate and enjoy peace and quiet.  Please be mindful of this and keep all talking to a whisper in this space.  More vibrant socializing is encouraged in the lounge and retail areas.

  • In the practice room, try to keep all of your props and personal items close to your mat.

  • We sweat in yoga.  A lot.  Please attend to your personal hygiene.

  •  If you are arriving late or leaving early, please do so quietly, calmly, and without disrupting others.

  • Finally, please be aware that yoga is a PRACTICE.  We are all in different stages of our personal journeys, and you should never feel discouraged if your pose looks different than someone else's.  Respect where you are in your own journey and know that it is exactly where you are supposed to be.
